She left her car. She had reached her destination, a little town called Silent Hill, at least it seemed small, it was hard to tell because of the thick fog covering every house, and every street as far as her eyes could see.

Strangely enough it was exactly the way she had seen the town in her dreams or nightmares more like. The only dream over and over again - men and women tortured and burned, screaming in pain and agony while the flesh of their faces was eaten up by the hungry flames surrounding them.

She didn't know why she was dreaming that awful dream over and over again - had it something to do with who she is? She only knew her first name: Laura! The paramedics had found her driver's license but fire had burned away the rest, only thing on the damn paper : Laura - not even a street or social security number! It was driving her nuts...Who was she??

What was she doing ??? Why was she in such a rush? She had crashed into a truck at seventy mph!

A miracle she was alive! rushing to or running from? She didn't know!! Didn't know didn't know!!!

The only thing that sounded right in her mind was to follow the dream. Maybe it could bring back her memory, or at least some of it, she certainly hoped so!!!

Questions was wandering her mind all the time...Was she married?? No - no ring was on her finger, children??? She didn´t think so.

Laura had tried to write down every detail in her dream to search for clues, when she got here, but every time it was as if something new came up, the dream got longer and more terrifying. She was scared! Not of what to come, but what could have happened in the past. Was it so horrible that she wanted to forget?? Better not think about it for now!! Gotta get a move on before dark.

Laura headed towards the main street. She was planning on asking for directions to the hospital, when she got there. She wanted to see if there were any records or something she could relate to, but so far not a soul was in sight. The town was a ghost town - very suiting, considering it was the day before Halloween.

She found a map floating in the wind, but what wind??? There was a stillness in the weather she had never experienced before - and silence...she could hear herself breathe heavily of anxiety and her heart galloping away, but nothing else. " Am I mad??"" she thought. Not a sound in the whole town!! Only the ones she made. Is this hell?

She grabbed the map and got back in to the car, she had stolen outside the hospital in Springfield, and drove off .

She soon found the hospital, it looked abandoned, but nothing could really surprise her anymore. She was now certain that it was no coincidence, she had dreamed of Silent Hill. Even the name made her shiver now.

 She walked into the lobby only to find it...empty. It looked like there had been serious turmoil and no one had gotten away clean. What first appeared to her as dark water, she now realized was blood, big dried pools of blood. The smell of foulness of decaying blood, made her very uneasy.

In a panic attack she just started running. Laura ran along corridor after corridor, until she found herself not knowing where she was. The darkness had now befallen the building, making it look more uninviting than it was before. Laura stumbled into an office - the sign on the door said "Records". 

Once inside she tried in vain to flick on the lights, but luckily there were some candles in a drawer. Laura started searching file after file, not knowing exactly what to look for except for her first name. Laura found a file with her name on it, and just when she was about to open it, she noticed something was wrong, a presence she had not felt before, the room felt colder all of a sudden. She caught her reflection in a mirror over the sink and gave a sigh of release.

She was thirsty, needed water.

She turned the water on, at first it was all brownish but then it ran clear. She splashed her face.

She was tired and saw herself  for the first time in the mirror since she had left Springfield. "God I look like a nightmare!"  she uttered.

Laura caught herself making faces and started laughing, a nervous laughter. When she realized that her mirror image was not following her movements at all!!

Suddenly the image slowly reached out for her!! Laura screamed !!! She grabbed the file and ran out to the dark corridors not looking behind her, afraid of what was following her, still was after her.

Laura ran till she collapsed of fatigue in a dark corner in a hospital in Silent Hill............

When Laura woke up, she looked at her watch...midnight! Now more terrified than ever before, she took hiding in a small office with no mirrors and only one door. Locked it and searched for light, again luck was with her, a small lantern still working became her reading light.

January 18......Damn! She couldn't make out the year.

Name: Laura Bannister, age: 28, symptoms: paranoia and possible schizophrenia.

Laura Bannister had previously worked here as a nurse. She had been an employee for 5 years.

Always punctual, smiling and very helpful all the time.

But after a visit from a strange women she started changing. She became quiet and seemed frightened. Laura went on like this for a year, never talked to the patients anymore nor her colleagues.

Today I have asked Laura to come see me, she is starting to show symptoms of paranoia and I was afraid that she was about to lose her sanity. I asked her what was wrong, and she started to talk, first very nervous but after a while she loosened up and she told me everything.

I have planned for her commitment.

It was the understanding that Ms. Bannister should only spent the night at Silent Hill, and then be transferred to a sanitarium the next day. But during the night Ms. Bannister escaped, how? Nobody knows, but it is believed that she got help from someone inside the hospital.

We found a body in her room, stitched together of different parts of human. Legs and arms were sewn together with wire to a torso, making a spiderlike shape. It consisted of two arms and two legs and a torso with the head still attached. It appeared that Laura had separated the arms and legs and sewn them on again on different places, legs where the  rms should be and the legs right under the arms. the body was of a young doctor and the other arms and legs we do not know where they came from.

On the walls was written Witch!!! The most disturbing thing of all was that she had made a sort of web from intestines and placed the body hanging in them in the corner!!!

Next day the police was alerted.

Date.......? - no date.

Nothing is like it seems anymore, after the horrible night where Ms Bannister escaped, everything has gone from bad to worse!! the nurses are slaughtering the patients and vice versa!! Eating each others flesh and tearing each other apart!!! It looks like everybody is infected or something! I am the only person not affected so far. Even my wife and child have become those "things"!!!

I found my little 5 year old son eating his best friend Vernon! I shot him....and then my wife.........

We can now only wait for help. We have barricated the Sheriff's office, this is our last stand till the police or national guard or whatever will come help us.

Laura was uncertain, she could not, would not believe that this is what has happened to this town!She would not believe that she was Laura Bannister, it could not be!!! Am I that crazy??? she thought to herself.....

Why would I be part in such a thing??

Laura knew she had to leave the room for answers. She went out into the corridor. Nothing! she took her lantern and went upstairs, she had seen a map of the hospital and on the 2^nd floor was a library, maybe some newspapers or something could enlighten her more.

As she went up the stairs she had a cackling/hissing noise. She found a little transistor radio covered in blood. Not far from the radio was a human body. She went over to the body and turned it over. It was a man! The body was ripped apart. His right hand still holding a gun and in his left a flashlight. The gun was full. She took it and the flashlight,  just in case! She thought to herself......

She found the library, made sure it was empty and started searching for newspapers. She found one dated March the 3^rd 1995. The newspaper was more like a flyer! Only telling about the infection and how many they were sure of was infected. 95% of the town was sick and had turned to cannibalism. People were eating each other in the streets!!"........It appears they have a leader. The former nurse Laura Bannister who escaped from Silent Hill hospital, leaving a trail of blood after her. She must be stopped at all cost! We have now found out that the infected people die from fire! we must burn them all, that is our only hope!"

There was a picture of her standing on top of a hill, while beneath her, the infected people were charging towards the photographer-and she noticed the spiderlike body that the doctor had described, was standing by her side like a lapdog.

"What!??!..it is all my fault?!" Laura was shocked! She found a portfolio with photos in it. It depicted the battle between the "good" and the infected. There was also a photo of the outcome.

It showed the infected being burned - flesh falling from their bodies. So her drem was real?

Underneath the photos she found what appeared to be a kind of diary, her diary.

She started reading:" January the 19^th. Finally I know who I really am! A descendant of the oldest coven in the world, long before Salem we had lived for generations!!! Our lord the Devil is my true ancestor!! He impregnagnated one of my ancestors at the dawn of human uprising! We have only one purpose! to rule the world of both the living and the dead. The living being our food.

When my mother's servant Camille came to tell me that my mother was dead and I had to take her place, I became scared at first, but after they helped me escape from the hospital and seen what awaits me and the world!! I truly know that this is my right place! How could I be so scared of something so great?! Our lord will appear to me on the 2^nd of March and tell me what we shall do!"

She went on reading page after page. It was only writing of things to come and how fullfilled her life was now and so on.

Until she stumbled upon March the 4^th " I have failed!!...the humans showed a lot more courage and willing than expected. I have only myself now, and must stay low until my lord will appear for me again"

Overcome by the new information in the diary and simply fatigued, Laura fell asleep.

She woke up "was it still dark??-no, she had slept a whole day!!" This time though, no nightmares!she had had a dream and things were beginning to fall into place now! she remembered being told to come as fast as she could to Silent Hill, Camille had appeared for her and told her that the lord would appear for her again!

She was beginning to understand her purpose in life again! She felt a craving, she was hungry! she went outside and started eating, she did not stop before she realised she was eating the body of the man!! She was shocked!! But...how could she do that? She soon realized that it felt good! She kept on eating !! The body was decaying so she had no trouble biting pieces of meat off his arms.

After her meal, she sat down looking at the poor dead body, when she heard a voice, a hissing voice:"miiiistresssssss! you have come back!" and before Lauras eyes appeared out of the corners and the darkness dead people! her people! At first a bit shocked, but not their appearances, but by the number of people.

"How many are we?" she asked Camille.

"Enough!" she replied, after the fall in Silent Hill, and their belief of victory we have spread like a plague, every week for the past two years a town has been infected! We are now millions!"

Laura found herself pleased by Camille's answer."Excellent!" Laura replied. "Has our lord appeared to you?" Laura asked. "Yessssss! The lord wants us to attack tonight!"

Laura now certain of their victory, told Camille to gather the people at the towns square so she could address them all. When she came to the square she saw thousands and thousands of living deads. And this was only the beginning! Other would attack the other cities tonight also.

Laura now feeling more alive than she had ever felt started adressing the crowd:" Tonight will be a victorious night for all that is not human and with us! Tonight!!! We will conquer the rest of the human world!!...... After all Halloween is the time where WE come out!"
